J. Jeff Badger has been the Managing Director of Seventh Avenue Performances since its inception in late 2003. Seventh Avenue Performances was formed to bring diverse professional performances to the Inner Sunset community as an outreach of SAPC’s commitment to our neighborhood.

Additionally, he works as a Development Officer for San Francisco Opera, and previously was Board President/Acting Managing Director for the California Bach Society. He also served on the San Francisco Mayor’s Committee for Employment of Persons with Disabilities, 1999-2004, including being Chair of the Committee for four years.

As a performer he is perhaps best known to early music audiences, performing for over twenty years in the Bay Area with such ensembles as American Bach Soloists, California Bach Society, Carmel Bach Festival and San Francisco Bach Choir. He is currently a member of the early music ensemble, San Francisco Renaissance Voices. He has also performed with West Bay Opera, and the choruses for the San Francisco, San Jose, Berkeley and Marin Symphonies. His discography includes recordings on Decca (Polygram), Koch and independent labels.

Before working in performing arts administration, J. Jeff was a human resources manager with various Bay Area organizations for over 25 years including Xerox, AAA, Stanford University and UCSF. He holds a BA in Religion and Sociology from Grove City College, Grove City, PA.
